Bangor 0-5 Crusaders
JJB Sports Premiership - Saturday, 30th August, 2008
CRUSADERS stormed back to the top of the JJB Sports Premiership following this impressive five-goal thrashing of Bangor at Clandeboye Park.

The deadlock was broken five minutes from the interval when Aaron Black finished at the back post after the ball fell loose from a scuffed Mark Dickson effort.

And it got worse for the Seasiders just three minutes later after 'keeper Andrew Plummer fumbled a Gareth McKeown throw-in for David Rainey to head home at the far post.

Rainey then added a third nine minutes into the second half when he was allowed to rise unmarked to nod home an Eamon Doherty cross from the left.

Bangor's woes continued on 64 minutes when Andrew Morrow received a straight red card for a two-footed challenge on Dickson.

Eamon McAllister added a fourth for the Crues six minutes from time with a low drive into the bottom left-hand corner after Rainey had played the ball into the area before, on 87 minutes, Jordan Owens wrapped things up with number five.
