Lisburn Distillery 1-0 Ballymena United
JJB Sports Premiership - Saturday, 25th October, 2008
A LATE Curtis Allen goal was the difference between the Whites and Sky Blues in a relatively lacklustre encounter at Ballyskeagh.

He struck with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining he turned a Ryan McCann corner past Alan Blayney.

Visitors United enjoyed the best of what chances were created in a scoreless first half.

Kevin Kelbie perhaps came closest on 34 minutes when he was denied by the legs of Philip Matthews after being played through by Neil Teggart while, a little earlier, Stuart King delivered a 25-yard free-kick just over.

Mark Cooling might have opened the scoring for the Whites in the opening exchanges of the second half only to fire high over the bar from just a few yards out.

The visitors, who remain bottom of the table, were denied a point right at the end when a King effort was cleared off the line by Andy Kilmartin.
