The Bannsiders moved in front after just 12 minutes when a poor Dean Youle backward header bounced awkwardly for Bangor 'keeper Ryan Brown allowing Darren Boyce to capitalise with a header.

Nigel Boyd levelled for Bangor, though, after half-an-hour when he nodded the ball past Davy O'Hare at the back post after Dominic Melly crossed from the right.

But Coleraine regained the advantage five minutes after the hour when Stephen Carson floated a free-kick into the area for Kyle McVey to convert at the far post.

And it was all over with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining after Jody Tolan played Gareth Tommons through to shoot low past the advancing Brown.
