It only took the Whites four minutes to open the scoring when Mark Cooling cross from the left side of the area for Gavin Melaugh to slot home.

Coleraine almost hit back when Kyle McVey had a header cleared off the line by Andy Kilmartin but they did equalise on 14 minutes via a Darren Boyce header from a Steven Lowry right sided corner.

The visitors regained the advantage on 57 minutes, though, when Neal Gawley got onto a Glenn Ferguson knock down to send a delightful half-volley into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

And they extended their lead six minutes after the hour when new signing John Curran got his head to a Kilmartin corner from the right to put the seal on a stunning victory.
