CLIFTONVILLE face a huge challenge if they are to progress in the Setanta Sports Cup following a four-goal reversal away to Cork City.
Fielding no fewer than nine changes, the Reds fell behind after 16 minutes after a low Gearoid Morrissey shot from 25-yard crept inside Ryan Brown's right-hand post.
Cork doubled their advantage ten minutes later courtesy of an Ian Turner penalty awarded after Eamon Seydak had impeded Neal Horgan.
Turner struck again a minute into first half stoppage time with a superbly delivered 25-yard free-kick.
Then, on 69 minutes, Daryl Kavanagh completed the scoring with a header from a Daryl Horgan left-wing cross.
The sides meet in the return on Monday 18th February at Solitude.
